-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Website: www.bellsbutchers.com

1. About these terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through the Bell’s Butchers website at https://bellsbutchers.com. In these terms, “Bell’s Butchers”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the business operating the website. “Customer”, “you” and “your” refer to the person placing an order.

Business details:

Legal business name: Bells Butchers

Registered/business address: C/Huertos Familiares, 1, 03349 S. Isidro, Alicante

Tax identification number (NIE/NIF/CIF): Y1949159S

Customer service email: Info@bellsbutchers.com

Use of the website and placement of an order are subject to these Terms and Conditions and the website’s Privacy Policy. By placing an order, you confirm that you have read and accepted the terms presented at checkout.

We may update these terms when necessary, including to reflect changes in our business or applicable law. The version applicable to an order is the version presented when that order is placed. Changes will not retrospectively alter an order already accepted.

2. Products and Product Information

We sell meat and other food products, which may include chilled and frozen products. Product descriptions, pack sizes, weights, prices, storage information and other important details are shown on the relevant product page or during checkout.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that descriptions, photographs and information are accurate. Photographs are illustrative; the appearance of a product may vary naturally and may look different on different screens. Such variation does not affect your statutory rights if a product does not conform to its description.

Meat is a natural product. Where a product is sold by approximate or variable weight, the product page and checkout will explain the basis of sale and the applicable price calculation.

3. Variable-Weight Products and Final Pricing

Certain meat products are sold by approximate weight because each item is individually prepared and weighed. The price displayed at checkout for these products is an estimate.

For orders containing variable-weight products, an additional 10% of the estimated order value will be included in the checkout amount as an allowance for differences between the estimated and actual weights. This allowance is not an additional charge for the products themselves.

Once your order has been prepared and the variable-weight products have been weighed, the final price will be calculated using the actual weight of each product and the applicable price per kilogram. Only the final amount due for your order will be charged. Any unused portion of the 10% allowance will not be charged or, where it has already been collected, will be released or refunded as applicable to the payment method and payment process used.

We will always do our very best to ensure that the actual weights and final price are as close as reasonably possible to the original weight and price estimates provided at checkout. As meat is a natural product, slight variations in weight may occur.

Any adjustment will be handled in accordance with the payment process explained at checkout and applicable law. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected..

4. Prices, taxes and delivery charges

Prices are shown in the currency stated on the website and include applicable VAT where required by law, unless expressly stated otherwise. Any delivery or other compulsory charge will be displayed before you confirm payment.

We may change product prices, promotions or the range available on the website at any time. A change will not affect an order that we have already accepted, except where correction is required by law or where an obvious pricing error means the order cannot reasonably be fulfilled at the displayed price. In that event, we will contact you and give you the option of confirming the order at the correct price or cancelling it for a refund.

5. Placing and accepting an order

To order, select your products, add them to your basket, enter the requested delivery and contact details, choose an available delivery option, review the total cost and complete checkout.

Please ensure that your name, delivery address, telephone number and email address are accurate. We use these details to process the order and coordinate delivery.

An on-screen message or automated email acknowledging receipt of your order confirms that we have received it; it does not necessarily mean that the order has been accepted. The order is accepted when we confirm acceptance or otherwise notify you that it is being processed for fulfilment.

We may need to decline or cancel an order if a product is unavailable, payment is not authorised, essential delivery details are missing or incorrect, or we identify a genuine pricing or technical error. If payment has already been taken for an order we cannot fulfil, we will refund the amount paid for the unfulfilled order or affected item. We will contact you if a change or substitute is proposed; we will not substitute a product without your agreement.

6. Product availability and substitutions

All orders are subject to stock and supply availability. We make reasonable efforts to keep the website up to date, but occasional stock discrepancies may occur.

If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you to discuss the available options. We may offer a suitable alternative, but only with your agreement. If you do not want the alternative, we will refund the amount paid for the unavailable item. Any refund will be made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed or required by law.

7. Payment

Payment methods available for an order are those displayed at checkout. Payment must be authorised before the order is dispatched, unless we have expressly agreed another arrangement.

Card and other electronic payments are processed through the relevant payment service provider. We do not intend to collect or store full payment-card details ourselves. The processing of personal data associated with payment is explained in our Privacy Policy.

If payment is declined or reversed, we may pause or cancel the order and contact you to resolve the issue.

8. Delivery areas, times and charges

We deliver to the destinations and postcodes shown as available at checkout. Delivery coverage, charges, estimated delivery windows and any minimum order requirements will be displayed on the website or at checkout.

Delivery dates and times are estimates unless we expressly confirm a guaranteed service. We will make reasonable efforts to meet the stated delivery estimate and will contact you if we become aware of a significant delay. Your statutory rights in relation to delayed or failed delivery remain unaffected.

You must provide a complete delivery address and a working telephone number and, where requested, delivery instructions. Please ensure someone is available to receive the parcel during the stated delivery window. If delivery fails because the address or contact details are incorrect or nobody is available, we will work with you and the carrier to determine whether redelivery is possible. Any additional charge will be disclosed and applied only where lawful and appropriate.

Because the order contains food that requires temperature control, a parcel may not be suitable for collection from an ordinary parcel shop or for unattended redelivery. Do not assume that a carrier will hold chilled or frozen goods safely unless this has been specifically confirmed.

Risk in the products passes to you when you, or a person you have nominated (other than the carrier), take physical possession of the goods, subject to applicable law.

8. Chilled and Frozen food

Chilled deliveries: All orders are transported in temperature-controlled chilled vehicles maintained at temperatures of up to 8°C. We take reasonable care to ensure that products are appropriately packed for transport and delivered in suitable condition. Actual product temperatures may vary during transit.

Frozen products: Frozen products are dispatched frozen but are transported using our chilled delivery service rather than vehicles maintained at −18°C. Consequently, frozen products may partially thaw or soften during transit and may not arrive in the same fully frozen condition in which they were dispatched. Customers should be aware of this before placing an order containing frozen products.

Receipt and storage: On receipt, customers must inspect their products and store them appropriately without delay. All chilled products must be refrigerated promptly upon delivery.

Partially thawed products: Any frozen products that have partially thawed during transit must be stored in a refrigerator, must not be refrozen, and should be consumed as soon as possible, provided they have remained safe for consumption throughout transport and handling.

Customers should contact Bell’s Butchers promptly if products arrive fully thawed, damaged or in a condition that raises concerns about their safety. If there is any doubt about the safety of a product, customers should contact us for advice before consuming it.

Bell’s Butchers takes reasonable care in the handling, packaging and transportation of food products. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits any statutory consumer rights or applicable food-safety obligations.

10. Cancellations, returns and the right of withdrawal

Food products that can deteriorate or expire rapidly are generally excluded from the statutory right of withdrawal under Spanish consumer law. Sealed products that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons may also be excluded once unsealed. The applicable exception depends on the product and circumstances.

For this reason, we may be unable to accept a change-of-mind return of fresh meat or other rapidly perishable food after an order has been prepared or delivered. Please contact us as quickly as possible if you need to request a cancellation; we will tell you whether the order can still be stopped. A cancellation is not guaranteed once preparation or dispatch has begun.

These exceptions do not remove your rights if an item is faulty, unsafe, damaged, missing, incorrectly supplied or does not conform to the contract. In those cases, contact us promptly so that we can investigate and offer an appropriate remedy under applicable law, which may include replacement, price reduction or refund.

For any non-perishable product for which a statutory right of withdrawal applies, the applicable legal period and procedure will apply. Nothing in this section limits any mandatory consumer right.

11. Complaints and problems with an order

If you have a question, complaint or concern about an order, contact us at info@bellsbutcher.com customer service email address] and include your order number, name and delivery postcode. For food-safety concerns, please mark the message clearly as urgent.

We will acknowledge and investigate complaints within a reasonable time and explain the proposed next steps. If a refund is due, it will be processed in accordance with applicable law and normally through the original payment method.

You may also have the right to contact the relevant consumer-protection authority or use an applicable out-of-court dispute-resolution procedure in Spain. Nothing in these terms restricts those rights.

12. Allergens, ingredients and food handling

Product ingredients, allergen information and other mandatory food information will be provided where required and made available through the product page, packaging or accompanying information, as applicable.

If you have an allergy or dietary requirement, check the information supplied for the specific product before ordering. If the information is unclear, contact us before purchasing. Do not rely solely on product photographs or general descriptions.

After delivery, follow all label instructions for refrigeration, freezing, thawing, cooking and use-by dates. Keep food away from contamination and do not refreeze thawed products unless the product instructions expressly permit it.

13. Website use and intellectual property

Website text, photographs, logos, graphics and other content are owned by or licensed to Bell’s Butchers, unless otherwise stated, and may not be copied or reused commercially without permission or a lawful basis.

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or use it for unlawful activity. We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, our customers or our business, subject to applicable law.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud, or any mandatory consumer rights and remedies.

Subject to that rule, we are not responsible for loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as exceptional transport disruption, severe weather or interruptions to essential services. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effects and keep affected customers informed.

You remain responsible for following product storage and handling instructions after delivery. This does not affect our responsibility for a product that was already defective, unsafe or non-conforming when delivered.

15. Personal data

We use personal information to process orders, take payment, arrange delivery, respond to enquiries and meet legal obligations. Further information about what we collect, how we use it, the legal basis for processing, recipients and your rights is set out in the Bell’s Butchers Privacy Policy.

16. Governing law and consumer rights

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Spain. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section deprives you of any mandatory protection or jurisdictional rights available to you under applicable consumer law.
